Dana Gionfriddo

Director & Consulting Actuary

Dana joined MCA in July 2026 as Director & Consulting Actuary to grow our resources, expertise, and thought leadership in predictive modeling and advanced analytics. She will support clients in actuarial pricing and analytics engagements, leveraging her actuarial and data science background to develop practical solutions to business challenges and deliver meaningful insights.

Dana earned her Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society in 2021. Prior to joining MCA, Dana spent 8 years at The Hartford building expertise in actuarial science and data analytics. She has experience across a variety of commercial lines, including General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, and BOP. Most recently, Dana oversaw the General Liability modeled indication lifecycle, from data pipeline development and model evaluation to exploring new model applications. She brings technical expertise in R, Python, and data visualization to support data-driven decision-making. Known as an organized and strategic planner, Dana excels at breaking down complex projects into clear, actionable steps and driving them to successful completion.

Outside of work, Dana enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors. She is an avid hiker and especially enjoys challenging trails with rock scrambling. Some of her favorite destinations include Glacier National Park and Grand Teton National Park. She also enjoys long-distance road trips as well as relaxing on tropical beaches and is looking forward to expanding her travels internationally.
