Zachary Suter

Principal & Actuary

Zachary joined MCA in August 2024 as Principal & Actuary to build out our actuarial capabilities and offerings. With a diverse background in actuarial pricing and reserving, Zachary will utilize his technical and business expertise to produce actionable insights ranging from rate and reserve reviews to segmentation and other strategic analyses.

Zachary earned his Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society in 2019. Prior to joining MCA, Zachary spent almost three years at Vault Insurance, a high-net-worth personal lines insurance company, as the Head of Actuarial Reserving. While at Vault, he was the first in-house reserving actuary and stood up the department. He worked to develop the reserving and loss analytics capabilities from the ground up while also building out and developing a high-performing team. Zachary spent 10 years prior at Travelers Insurance, where he held a variety of roles between Personal and Commercial Lines in both Pricing and Reserving. Zachary also serves as the Volunteer Vice-Chair of the Course on Professionalism for the Professionalism Education Working Group through the CAS.

When he’s not working, Zachary is busy traveling to new places with his wife. He loves trying new breweries and will always appreciate a good recommendation. You can find him spending time with his friends, family, and cats and can often be found playing one of the many board games he’s collected over the years.
